The pop-up exhibtion 'Reflecting': a play on perspectives and expectations Decor Walther presents ‘portraits’ of existing products from its portfolio in an outstanding presentation, created in collaboration with photographer Marc Krause.
Reflection as an expression of purity and refinement. But also symbolically – quality as a reflection of one's own aspirations and character. The pictures are not the answer, they pose new questions.
‘Reflecting’ combines the photographer Marc Krause's perspective on the objects with the objects themselves. The title of the exhibition is multi-layered. ‘Reflecting’ is about products that refract and reflect in the light, as well as reflecting and breaking with existing patterns of product presentation.
I prefer to work in a very honest, straightforward way – this is also reflected in the technique.
‘Vacuum-packed’ Decor Walther products are exhibited in a small haberdashery shop in Milan's Brera. Krause's video and Polaroid photo pieces are the main focus of the showroom. This creates an exciting contrast between object and presentation throughout the entire location. The marks the beginning of a new perspective on the Offenbach-based brand's own products. The exhibition actively invites visitors to actively explore: all Decor Walther products are presented in an open and accessible way
